Photographer Gives A New Perspective To Albinism, Captures Albino Models In The Most Amazing Way

With the changing world, we are also observing a positive change in thoughts connected to certain situations (which is great!) and one such thinking that has evolved is related to albinism. Gone are those days when albinos had to carry the burden of superstitions or beliefs that people had for them. Even though they were not all negative, but when a belief is standing without the support of logic, it tends to have an unfavorable impact on a lot of things.

Talking about beliefs and albinism, we can list a few of those theories (as there were many!) – On one hand, albinism had attached to it the ideas of immortality, being evil and ignorant while on the other hand, it was believed that albinos were considered as gifted in a way that they own a magical strength that can cause miracles and even have some healing potential!

When the beliefs don’t meet at a point, how can they be even true? People realized this with changing times and now we are almost at a point where albinos are treated as well as they should be. Yulia Taits, an Israeli-based photographer is focusing her camera on all the right areas and through her series Porcelain Beauty, she is creating a new perspective towards Albinism.

Taits takes wonderful pictures of people who are born with albinism. Her concept of these photographs is really out of the box. The way she plans the entire shoot is really thoughtful in a way that a lot of white is involved including the backdrop, the clothes they wear and other necessary items supporting the shoot. If you have not yet guessed the line of thinking here, it is basically done to make everyone else aware that white has variations when it comes to albinism!

The other myth she busted with her photographs is the one which says that albinos have red eyes. This is so not true! Their shades of eyes vary from blue to brown and it is just the lighting that makes them appear red sometimes.

If you are wondering about her experience with this Porcelain Beauty series then we can tell you that this journey was spectacular for her, the highlight being the natural depiction of albinism and knowing these awe-inspiring people full of positivity. She is overjoyed by the results and her happiness is justified!
