Any dull place can be brightened up with light and if some creative twist is given to the light sources, a beautiful environment can be created. This is accomplished by Bruce Munro. His work revolves around light and he comes up with innovative ideas to embellish an area with the element of light!

His installations have an inspiration behind them which points towards shared human experience. Before his projects were in the field, he designed them in sketchbooks. He worked on the sketchbook ideas for more than 30 years!

Munro’s “Field of Light” installations have made their spot in some vast locations. They enhance the scenery of the place in unimaginable ways! These illuminated sites grab all the attention.

These installations comprise reflections from lamps that bounce off dust particles in the air which are referred to as orbs.

If you are in California, near Paso Robles city, “Field of Light at Sensorio” is not to be missed. The hillside in the city is decorated with his installation which runs on solar power.

The number of lights that gleam in the landscape is 60,000 (yes, that many!). The light spheres change colors and that’s what attracts the people. It is eye-catching!
